The Gathering Place Trading Company
Gathering Place is our family business on Cortes Island, BC. We live in community and work toward a more sustainable world every day. We source organic teas, spices, sea salt and dried fruit directly from family farms and co-operatives in Canada and around the world. We meet every one of our partners face to face, shake their hands, and visit their farms so that we can deliver the freshest, tastiest products directly to you from the farmers who grew them. We donate 1% of our sales to local grassroots projects, preserving our forests and oceans, as well as to children in need in India and South Africa.
Gathering Place Rooibos comes directly to us from a third-generation family farm deep in the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. Our rooibos is grown naturally in the delicate semi-arid ecosystem, using swales and other innovative techniques for water and soil conservation, and is exclusively hand-harvested. These values combined with stringent fermentation, sorting, and drying processes, create the exceptionally high quality of this certified organic Rooibos tea.
To purchase any of our products please go to our shopping cart on our website listed below. Thanks for supporting our local, family business!

The Journey Oracle
Would you like to access the wisdom of your unconscious so you could use inner guidance and shamanic knowledge to understand or change a view, a relationship, a habit, a circumstance, a confusing situation?
Kristen Scholfield-Sweet, the creator of the Journey Oracle divination cards, has spent many hours providing help with relationships, with how to find life purpose, explore soul contracts, and understand dream symbols. Her skillful and compassionate ability will help you take a shamanic journey into the topic of your reading as if into a waking dream. The Dream Journey reading gives insight into how a situation came to be and how you are experiencing it; the Oracle shows what will create change, and the resolution your unconscious wisdom is seeking.
Available at the Cortes Museum Shop.
