This is your once-a-year opportunity to visit spectacular gardens and working artists’ spaces on Cortes Island. Our annual self-guided all-island tour will feature 15 unique creative spaces this year. Spend the day exploring beautiful gardens thoughtfully designed for a range of landscapes from Whaletown to Cortes Bay. Discover textile, ceramic and painting studios, purchase works for sale, and show your support for our talented local artists. See the Museum’s heritage garden with roses and perennials from former homesteads. Some locations also showcase the work of skilled builders and original homes in connection with the current museum exhibition, From the Ground Up: Cortes Island dwellings and their histories. This tour is an important fundraiser for the Cortes Island Museum & Archives, and all proceeds go toward our programs.

Tickets are $20, and children 12 and under are free.

Tickets are available at the Cortes Museum and Cortes Island stores (Natural Food Co-op, The Cortes Market, Marnie’s Books, Gorge Harbour Marina Store, Squirrel Cove General Store), Inspirations on Quadra Island, 671 Plaza Road, Quathiaski Cove, on the event day at the Whaletown Garden Centre, 315 Carrington Road, Cortes Island (just off the ferry).

Pack a picnic, hop on the ferry, carpool with friends, or bring your e-bike and discover Cortes Island! To book Hollyhock lunch, call 250-935-6576 (reservations required; mention Creative Spaces to get a 10% discount).
