SEAFEST is an annual event, held on Cortes Island on a Saturday of May long weekend. In 2017, SEAFEST will be held on May 20 at the Gorge Harbour Marina. SEAFEST features BBQ and raw oysters, steamed mussels and clams, and more! There is also live music and local crafts.
There will be free shuttle from the ferry to the festival site and back.
Music starts at 11 AM, serving begins at 11:30 AM, and continues until approximately 4:00 PM.
The Creative Spaces Tour is an annual tour that features Cortes craftspeople, artists, and gardeners.
In 2017, Creative Spaces Tour is postponed until 2018, due to lots of things happening at the Museum – watch for announcement about Refuge Cove: Moving with the Tide exhibition planned for early June.
Creative Spaces is sponsored by the Cortes Island Museum. Tickets are available by the end of May at local stores, the Museum, and Friday Markets. All proceeds support Cortes Museum’s public education and community outreach programs.

Cortes Day is held on the third Saturday of July at Smelt Bay Provincial Park. In 2017, Cortes Day will take place on July 15. Cortes Day is a complete celebration of Cortes Island starting with breakfast and followed by a parade! The day is filled with activities for children and adults, such as the cake walk, chicken run and the famous Nail, Sail and Bail race. For more information, visit the SCCA website.
Sandcastle Day is held annually at Smelt Bay Provincial Park. This year it will be Sunday, August 6, 2017.
Hot dogs and drinks available for purchase. Cash prizes given. Registration opens at 9:30 at Smelt Bay. Fun for all the family.
Cortes Lip Sync
Cortes Island Lip Sync is a regular event organized by Cortes Island Radio for fund rising. Everybody can participate! Look for notices on Tideline.
